- Indicators: Exponential Moving Average - EMA(H1,20) and EMA(H1,72)
- Trigger: EMA(H1,72) cross EMA(H1,20) to UP
- Alert: When the Trigger is true.
Inputs / Outputs:
1. Select the indicator, in this case is Exponential Moving Average (EMA).
2. Choose the timeframe, in this case is 1 hour
3. Choose the price that EMA going to be calculated, in this case is CLOSE price.
4. Choose the period, in this case is 72.
5. In the output line, no shift/offset going to be applied, so it is zero.

After you create the second EMA, the chart is shown below:
Step 1:
The image below shows the EMAs indicators created.
Step 2:
Create a trigger using EMA indicator.
EMA indicator can interact with any other indicator and prices, so the conditions used for this type of indicator are between its outputs or with a numeric value, prices or another indicators outputs.
The trigger created is shown in the image below.
Step 3:
Create a alert.
Alerts can be created using any numbers of triggers are desired, it is possible to create alerts based on others alerts too.
You can set Alert Type for your best alert organization.
The very important parameter to use is "Check this alert for each" meaning the period when system will run your alert. It is high recomended to use the same timeframe of your indicators for best performance and acuracy.
Creating Alert
Note the "condition" "OR" with the same trigger, (in this example we are using TRG-167). If you just want to run one trigger, you need to use OR as condition with the same trigger - it is a little bit trick.
After you create the alert, it is available to Turn On, default value is Turn Off.
If you turn on the alert, the system will run it for each period you setting when you created the alert.
In "Action", you can run a Backtest, for this you need to click on icon.
If the alert will be turn on, for each yellow diamond, the system will sent a alert.
Suppose you want to get the bullish and bearish trend using these indicators, in this case you need to create another trigger: EMA(H1,20) cross EMA(H1,72) to UP and include it in the alert setting:
The triggers are shown in the image below.
Now, lets edit the alert using both triggers, in this case the system going to alert you when a bullish and bearish arise.
Note the two yellow diamond in the chart, one representing a bullish and another a bearish trend respectively.
To link the alert to instruments, access the Instrument page:
Choose the Instrument Type:
Select as many instruments as you want.
The image below shows the instruments selected.
In this specific example, for each hour, the Topalerting System run the Alert-144 alert and the indicators and conditions going to applied to this instruments, if some of them match, a alert going to be sent to you.
